Welcome to Starting Points Family Support Centers (Starting Points). Since 1996, we’ve been an inclusive organization of men and women dedicated to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility in Nicholas, Fayette and Webster counties, West Virginia.

Our mission is to provide the tools necessary to help  families in central West Virginia become self-sufficient.

Starting Points operates a Daycare and family resource center that provides direct services, information, and resources to families. Working with our partners, we are a one-stop shop for family friendly services and our staff works with individual families to meet their needs.

Starting Points serves either as the lead agency or as an involved partner to assess the needs of families located in Nicholas, Webster and Fayette counties; working to initiate and develop opportunities for families in our service area.

Throughout West Virginia, Starting Points centers have adopted the Strengthening Families model which allows families to better nurture and support their children.

The five protective factors of this model improve the health and well-being of children and families.

Starting Points is the leading provider of quality learning and daycare services for children 6 months to 5 years old in Nicholas, Fayette and Webster Counties.  The award winning program offers half-day or full-day supervision provided by certified, professionally trained staff with a full curriculum of academics and activities planned throughout the school year.
